Albina - description

Albina

Origin: Gift to Zaporizhzhia x Kishmish black winter-hardy (88-11)

Economic characteristics:

A variety Albina of very early or early ripening grapes. Ripening in the conditions of the Kiev region of Ukraine occurs in early August. A flower of a functional female type. The form is pollinated very well, there are practically no peas in the bunch (no more than 5%).

The berries are large, oval or ovoid, white or white-yellow, with a prune bloom, weighing 12-14 grams. The pulp is dense, crispy, the skin is not felt. Seeds are medium, 2-3 pieces per berry. The berry has a harmonious taste, has a good balance of sugar and acid, the sugar content of the berry juice is 21 - 22%. No cracking of berries (0%).

Bunches of medium density or loose, weighing 600 - 1200 grams. The average bunch weight is 750 grams, the average berry weight is 8.7 grams. Productivity 15-20 t / ha. Average yield per bush with trellis vertical formation is 14 kg, with arched horizontal formation 19-22 kg.

The growth force of the variety of Albina grapes is very high, the yield is high, the fruitfulness is 2-2.3 bunches per shoot. The shape of the slope is subject to overloading by the crop; therefore, thoughtful normalization is needed. When overloaded, the grapes draw out the entire harvest, but the ripening period increases.

The vine ripens early, long before the berries ripen. Disease resistance is high: susceptibility to mildew and powdery mildew is about 2.5 - 3.0 points. With three preventive treatments with systemic drugs, there are no diseases until the end of the season. Frost resistance about - 27, -28 gr.s.

Stepson-forming ability is average. Shoots are upright, powerful. The pruning of fruit vines is average, 6 - 8 buds. The shape remains well on the bush for two months, without damage or cracking, while it gains sugar up to 25%. Transportability is average. The rooting is excellent.
